Rakcham Village


A two hour walk crossing the Baspa River takes you to the quaint Rakchham village. There is a glacier which is easily accessable from this village but is safe to walk on only in the summer months of May and June. Chitkul


It is the last Indian village bordering Tibet. The temple of Goddess Mathi, which is often visited by locals for wish fulfilment is a must see.

Batseri village


This well developed village is dotted with wooden houses. The Badrinarayan Temple with its amazing wood carvings depicting deities of various religions is a fine example of hill architecture.

Sangla Kanda(meadows)


A one day trek to the grassy meadows.

Kalpa Village


A three hour drive takes you to Kalpa village to get a panoramic view of the other face of Kinner Kailash. It is popular for its chilgoza orchards.

Places To Visit Around Kinner Camp-Nako

Visit to the lake and Monastery


This quaint and beautiful village is built around a lake which is a five minute walk from the camp.
Along with a walk around the lake , the temple with Saint Padmasambhavas footprints and the thousand year old monasery is a must see.

Leo Village


This village situated on the bank of the Spiti river is dotted with picturesque apple orchards. A day trek can be organised from the camp to the village along with a packed lunch.

Somang Monastery


Located at a trekking distance of 6 to 7 hours from the camp this monastery is favoured by hard core trekkers and devotees. It was established around 2500 years ago.
