Start your journey after arrival at Chandigarh, from where we drive you to Narkanda, a distance of about 180 kms (5-6 hrs). Overnight stay at hotel.
After an early breakfast, we leave for Sangla. Check-in at Kinner Camps to start your trip in exploring the exquisite Sangla Valley, with Kinner Camps hospitality.
Today, we carry packed lunch and drive to Chitkul, the last Indian village on the Indo-Tibet border. Explore the surroundings of Chitkul, which is also known worldwide to produce the best quality potatoes. Walk to Nagasti (2.5kms), which is the last Indian civilian point. Drive back to camp, relax with snacks, tea/coffee and explore the area around the camp. Enjoy a crackling campfire at night, followed by dinner.
Drive to Kamroo village, the first village to have been inhabited in the valley. Visit the tower like Kamroo fort and witness a stunning view of Sangla valley, dotted with apricot, deodhar, walnut and wild peach trees, along with the apple orchards. Visit Sangla village, Kamakhya devi temple and Nag Devta temple. Return to camp and refresh with snacks. Rest of the day is free to relax or explore the surroundings.
On days 3 and 4, you can indulge in adventure activities in your free time.
Walk to Batseri village, with its modern wooden houses and the beautiful wood carvings of the Lord Badrinarayan temple. After the temple visit, experience a glacier walk. Later, walk along the Baspa River to the quaint Rakchham village, and have packed lunch along the way by the river at a spot where you can view the magnificent Kinner Kailash Mountain, which is said to be the winter home of the Hindu God, Lord Shiva.
We leave for Nako after an early breakfast. Visit Recong Peo and Kalpa, where you can view the stunning other face of Kinner Kailash. En-route, take a brief halt at Khab and view the confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti rivers. Overnight at Kinner Camp, Nako.
Explore Nako with its thousand year old monastery and footprints of Lord Padmasambhava. After breakfast, drive to Chango and Leo villages. Packed lunch will be provided. Return back to camp for snacks and dinner.
Early breakfast and drive to Sarahan. Sarahan is surrounded by apple orchards, and from Sarahan you can witness the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak (5155 mts). You can visit the famous Bheema Kali temple, a wonderful mixture of Buddhist and Hindu architecture. It is very sacred to both the communities. Overnight at hotel.
Today, we leave the gorgeous Sangla Valley and leave for Shimla/Chail. Drive along the Sutlej River. Overnight at hotel.
The tour ends on reaching Chandigarh. Depart from Chandigarh to return home, carrying with you some beautiful memories of Sangla.
