KC01: 5N/6D - Camping & More With Kinner Camps

DAY 1: ARRIVE AT KINNER CAMPS

Arrive at Kinner Camps, Sangla. Relax with a welcome drink and lunch. Later, go for a small walk to explore the camp surroundings. Dinner and overnight at Kinner Camps.


DAY 2: CHITKUL - NAGASTI - RAKCHHAM

Early morning, sip morning tea while enjoying the flora and fauna. After breakfast, drive to Chitkul (23 km), the last Indian village on the Indo-Tibet border. Later, walk/drive to Nagasti, the last civilian point (2.5 km) at the Indo-Tibetan border.

Drive to Rakchham village. Trek and explore the Rakchham valley. Carry a packed lunch and have a picnic by the river. Rest of the evening is free for activities and leisure.


DAY 3: BATSERI VILLAGE - GLACIER WALK - KAMROO

Wake up early morning to witness the gorgeous sunrise. After breakfast, get ready for the glacier walk. Leave camp by 10 a.m. On the way, visit Batseri village & Lord Badrinarayan temple, then experience a walk on the glacier (glacier walk is doable only during summer months, before the ice melts).

Return to camp for lunch. Post lunch, go to Kamroo village, visit the fort, and Kamakhya devi temple, the deity of which was originally brought from Assam. Come back to camp for tea. Rest of the evening is free for leisure.


DAY 4: CAMPING UNDER THE STARS AT SANGLA KANDA

Today, we undertake a slightly adventurous trip. Sangla Kanda excursion is done with a 4x4 Vehicle at an additional cost. The drive takes about an hour to reach atop the meadow. Here, you can enjoy the spectacular views of the entire valley & the majestic Kinner Kailash Peak. Since Kanda is the route that the shepherds take to Uttaranchal, you may come across heard of sheep spread across the lush green meadow. After exploring the surroundings, we set up tent in the valley and spend a night in the pure outdoors.


DAY 5: RETURN TO SANGLA

Wake up early to watch the mesmerizing sunrise. After breakfast, drive back to Kinner Camps, where you can just chill and indulge in some rest. Pump up your adrenaline with some adventure activities like rappelling, rock climbing, flying fox and river crossing.

DAY 4: SANGLA KANDA SHEPARD TRAIL OFF ROADING / EXPLORE SANGLA VIA HURBA TRAIL, VISIT TROUT FISH FARM

Get ready for a quick morning trek or off-roading to Sangla Kanda.
Sangla Kanda excursion is done with a 4x4 Vehicle at an additional cost. The drive takes about an hour to reach atop the meadow. Here, you can enjoy the spectacular views of the entire valley & the majestic Kinner Kailash Peak. Since Kanda is the route that the shepherds take to Uttaranchal, you may come across heard of sheep spread across the lush green meadow. You are sure to spot majestic Yaks in these meadows.
You can walk with the shepherds, sit by the lake, meditate or simply enjoy the packed lunch alongside the beautiful view. Post excursion, return to the camp. Evening is free for leisure & relaxation. Dinner & overnight at the Camp.
OPTIONALLY, choose to visit the Trout fish farm. This leisurely walk is via Hurba. Hurba is famous for its spring water sources. It is also the natural breeding ground for trout. The Trout Farm of Sangla is set up by the Himachal Pradesh fisheries department, to protect and raise the Trout fish. This is a popular tourist attraction in the Sangla region and is visited by a lot of tourists every year. The Trout Farm fosters various types of prized trout.


DAY 5: ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES AND LEISURE (activities available depending on weather conditions)

Today, indulge in some adventure activities at the campsite - rock climbing, rappelling, flying fox and river crossing. All activities are implemented under the supervision of experts. You can go on a nature walk, try your hand at angling, or just relax and enjoy the hospitality.
