KC06: 8N/9D - SANGLA WITH KINNER

DAY 1: CHANDIGARH TO NARKANDA

Start your journey after arrival at Chandigarh, from where we drive you to Narkanda, a distance of about 180 kms (5-6 hrs). Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 2: NARKANDA TO SANGLA

After an early breakfast, we leave for Sangla (150 kms; it takes about 5-6 hours). Check-in at Kinner Camps to start your trip in exploring the exquisite Sangla Valley, with Kinner Camps hospitality.

DAY 3: EXCURSION TO CHITKUL AND NAGASTI

Drive to Chitkul, the last Indian village on the Indo-Tibet border. Explore the surroundings of Chitkul, which is also known worldwide to produce the best quality potatoes. Walk to Nagasti (2.5kms), which is the last Indian civilian point. Drive back to camp, relax with snacks, tea/coffee and explore the area around the camp.
Indulge in adventure sports like rappelling, rock climbing, flying fox and river crossing. Enjoy a crackling campfire at night, followed by dinner.

DAY 4: TREK TO GLACIER POINT, BATSERI AND RAKCHHAM

Leave early post breakfast and trek to glacier point. Later, walk to Batseri village, with its modern wooden houses and the beautiful wood carvings of the Lord Badrinarayan temple. After the temple visit, walk along the Baspa River to the quaint Rakchham village, and have packed lunch along the way by the river at a spot where you can view the magnificent Kinner Kailash Mountain, which is said to be the winter home of the Hindu God, Lord Shiva. Return to camp and rest of the evening is free for leisure.

DAY 5: ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES AND LEISURE

Today, you can indulge in some adventure activities like rappelling, rock climbing and river crossing. Rest of the day is free for leisure. You can go for a walk and explore the surroundings. Or visit Sangla village, Kamru village and the Kamru fort and Kamakhya devi temple.

DAY 6: SANGLA – RECONG PEO – NAKO

We leave for Nako after an early breakfast. On the way, visit Recong Peo, where you can view the stunning other face of Kinner Kailash. Explore Nako with its thousand year old monastery and footprints of Lord Padmasambhava. Overnight at Kinner Camp, Nako

DAY 7: NAKO TO KALPA

After breakfast, depart for Kalpa. En-route, take a short halt at Khab, where you can see the confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti rivers.
Besides the amazing close-up view of the Kinner Kailash range, Kalpa also offers a wonderful market walk. Rest of the day is free for local sightseeing. Overnight at Kalpa.

DAY 8: KALPA TO CHAIL

Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise bathing the Kinner Kailash peaks. After an early breakfast, we leave the gorgeous Sangla Valley and leave for Chail. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 9: CHAIL TO CHANDIGARH

The tour ends on reaching Chandigarh. Depart from Chandigarh to return home, carrying with you some beautiful memories of Sangla.
